With preparations well underway for King Charles III's Coronation, bars, restaurants and cafes in Manchester have been cooking up ways to mark the occasion.
One bar in Manchester is offering free drinks to those with regal names and surnames and has also devised some British-inspired beverages for the special occasion. The Cosy Club in the Corn Exchange will be offering a free limited-edition cocktail for anyone named Charles or Camilla or with the surname King.
The Cosy Club Mixologists have created two British-inspired cocktails in partnership with Hendrick’s Gin. The regal cocktails will be served in china teacups and priced at £6.95 - but those named Charles, Camilla - or with the surname King - will receive a cocktail completely free of charge.

The drinks include Victoria Sponge - a teacup cocktail with Hendrick's gin, Pimm's strawberry, vanilla and lemon served with a mini Victoria sponge on the side - and Coronation Cup - made with Hendrick's gin, elderflower, lemon, coconut and orange served with a mini cucumber sandwich on the side.
Enya Gill, Head of Brand at Cosy Club says: “Three cheers for King Charles III! We’re famed for our opulent surroundings and grand décor so I can think no better place to celebrate this historic event.
"We’re all looking forward to a long weekend full of fun, fabulous food and a drinks and cocktail selection even Buckingham Palace would be hard pushed to beat.”
Paying homage to King Charles III’s penchant for a martini, two Cosy classics - the Espresso Martini and Porn Star Martini - will also be on sale at the celebratory price of £11.95 for two, from 8pm on Friday, May 5 to Monday, May 8. Cosy Club will also be decorating the bar in Corn Exchange with bunting and will have a couple of Coronation surprises in store.
Other Manchester venues getting involved in the festivities include 200 Degrees coffee shop off St Peter's Square, who will be giving out free hot drinks to anyone called Charles. From Saturday May 6 until Monday May 8, anyone called Charles will be eligible for the freebie, while corgis will also be offered free puppucinos.
Anyone named Charles can visit a 200 Degrees coffee shop with proof of ID to receive a free hot drink of their choice. No ID will be necessary for corgis - apparently a 'cute fluffy butt' will be proof enough for 200 Degrees staff to issue the free tasty treats.
