A football fan thought he'd won almost £15,000 after placing a tenner on three World Cup bets, only for bookmakers Coral to say they wouldn't pay out.
Liam Manifold said he'd already planned how he'd spend the money when Coral said it wouldn't hand over the winnings. Liam, 30, was given odds of 1,495 to one after predicting on November 11 that Argentina would win, Lionel Messi would be named player of the tournament and that France would also make the final.
The delighted maintenance engineer rushed back to the betting shop in Horninglow, Staffordshire, the day after the final, but left empty-handed, as reported in Birmingham Live.
