A 26-year-old man from Genessee County, Michigan, recently found himself half a million dollars richer after a stroke of luck that he attributes to a movie character who bore a striking resemblance to him.
The man, who opted to keep his identity undisclosed, shared with the Michigan Lottery that he was watching a movie where the main character experienced a significant win through a lottery ticket. Feeling a connection due to the character's resemblance to himself, he decided to take it as a sign and purchased a $5 Lucky No. 13 ticket at an E-Z Stop Food Mart in Flint.
