Man who thought he'd won £15,000 on £10 World Cup bet is offered £660

A man who thought he'd won £15,000 on a £10 World Cup bet has been offered just £660. Liam Manifold had already worked out how he was going to spend his winnings before Coral stood him he would not be getting as much as he thought.

Liam, 30, worked out that the odds on his World Cup bet coming off were 1,495 to one. On November 11, he bet that Argentina would win, Lionel Messi would be named player of the tournament and that France would also make the final.

The maintenance engineer rushed back to the betting shop the day after the final - but was left empty-handed, reports BirminghamLive.
