A man was taken to hospital after he caught fire. Emergency services were called to Totterdown just after midnight last night.
The ambulance service sent several crews to the scene and then took the man to Southmead Hospital by land ambulance. An operations officer, a hazardous area response team, a critical care car and a double-crewed land ambulance were sent to the scene.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 00.23hrs to an incident in Totterdown.

"We sent an operations officer, a hazardous area response team, a critical care car and a double-crewed land ambulance. We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Southmead Hospital."
A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue said: "Crews from Temple were called to a residential home in Totterdown at 00:30 to reports of a person suffering severe burns. On arrival, crews supported the individual with trauma care.
"The individual was later conveyed to hospital via ambulance. The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental."
Temple Fire station also tweeted about the incident. It said: "Blue watch attended a person on fire last night. Both appliances mobilised to Totterdown at 00:30 to a male who had caught fire.
"Crews carried out trauma care alongside NHS critical care teams. Multiple other shouts to end a rather busy tour!"
