Manchester United will reportedly offer Ousmane Dembele a lucrative contract after Paris Saint-Germain pulled out of the race for his signature.
The Barcelona winger, 25, is out of contract in June and has a fine CV - winning two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, the World Cup, German Cup and Spanish Super Cup. Yet he's struggled with injuries, playing just 150 club games during the last five years.
Despite this, Dembele remains one of the most promising wingers in European football. Barcelona paid Borussia Dortmund £135.5million to bring the France international to the Camp Nou in the summer of 2017 and want to keep him in Spain.
Yet Barcelona are struggling to agree an extension with Dembele, according to Spanish outlet SPORT. The Catalan heavyweights have made progress with their negotiations - reaching 'small agreements' - but have not sorted out the major sticking points.
The Camp Nou door remains open for Dembele but, if Barcelona can't tie him down, a number of top European clubs are ready to pounce. PSG were leading the race for his signature, although it appears they are no longer interested in bringing him to France.
According to Le Parisien via Get French Football News, new PSG sporting director Luis Campos doesn't want to sign Dembele. Campos is said to be concerned over the player's injury record and attitude, and doesn't believe his talent is worth the risk.

Dembele was reportedly in talks to join PSG before former sporting director Leonardo was dismissed from his role. The Brazilian World Cup winner was re-appointed by the French club in July 2019 but has failed to lead them to Champions League glory.
That leaves us with Man Utd, who've offered Dembele a contract worth between £8.4m and £12.5m per season - according to El Chiringuito journalist Dario Montero via The Express. If true, the player could earn more than £240,000-a-week at Old Trafford.
Man Utd have been linked with Dembele for more than a year. Reports last summer suggested the Red Devils pulled out of a deal to sign the player after he suffered a knee injury while playing for France at Euro 2020. They went on to sign Jadon Sancho instead.
"We all know the talent, that's no doubt," Man Utd icon Rio Ferdinand told BT Sport in January while discussing Dembele. "The talent we saw at France then Dortmund, he's never been able to replicate that form here on a consistent basis.
"He needs games, he needs a level of games to sustain that. But [manager] Xavi is showing faith. That's the important part, giving him confidence. When he's confident... he's almost unplayable at times. The way he can dribble, go both ways, he's exciting to watch.
"He's got that bit of flair that not many wingers in the world have got on a consistent basis. But the keyword right there is consistent, he has to bring that into his game."
