Manchester United have proved they are attempting to learn from their decision to snub Antonio Conte, after opting against consulting the players over the appointment of Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag is poised to take the reins at Old Trafford after verbally agreeing a four-year contract with the Red Devils. It is expected in the coming weeks that the Dutchman, 52, will sign his contract once the clubs agree on a compensation package once the hiring process is complete.
But the club have not asked for the players' input on his appointment. That marks a huge shift in policy since November, when, according to the Manchester Evening News, Cristiano Ronaldo was reportedly heavily involved in the decision to snub Conte as Solskjaer’s potential successor in November.
