Ralf Rangnick could reportedly take up a new managerial position when his time at Manchester United comes to an end this summer.
The German arrived at Old Trafford as interim manager following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking in November and had been expected to take up a consultancy role at the club at the end of the season. But recent reports have linked him with the vacant manager's job with the Austria national team.
It comes following reports that the Red Devils are close to appointing Ajax's Erik ten Hag as the club's next manager – with a likely announcement date having been revealed. And United could follow Roy Keane's advice and hand a first-team role to a promising academy graduate.
