Manchester United have updated fans on when their home strip for the 2023/24 season will be released after rapper Aitch was seen wearing the shirt during his Glastonbury set on Saturday.
The Mancunian musician - full name Harrison James Armstrong - got plenty of fans talking when he emerged on stage wearing the never-before-seen shirt. A boyhood United fan, Aitch was all smiles while proudly donning what the Old Trafford faithful can expect to see the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro lining up in next term.
However, fans seeing the rapper wearing it before flocking to the website to buy it themselves this weekend just gone would have been bitterly disappointed. That is because, as United have confirmed once again, the new home kit officially unveiled on Tuesday 27 June and will be available to order from 9am on the same day.
A post on Man United's website read: "Our new home kit was seen for the first time on Saturday when lifelong United fan and Manchester native Aitch wore it proudly, during his acclaimed performance on Glastonbury's legendary Pyramid Stage."
The shirt is classic crimson red, with its most notable design feature coming in the form of the pattern of Lancashire roses sprawling across it.
They serve as a backdrop to the Red Devils' club crest, principal sponsor Team Viewer and the Adidas logo, which is just the symbol this time rather than having the text underneath as has been the case with previous kits.
Aitch actually personalised his shirt, with the back reading 'Big Shell 40' which is a reference to one of his lyrics.

While his performance at the Somerset festival was the first time fans were able to see the shirt clear and up close, it isn't actually the first leak of United's next home kit.
Back in May, promotional images of Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw all wearing the kit surfaced online. In many ways, Aitch's performance has only helped boost promotion for the new strip.
A die-hard Red Devil, the rapper told United's official website back in December of 2021: "The Reds have been a fabric of my DNA from the earliest memory of football, the winning mentality we developed under Sir Alex Ferguson was mesmerising. There was only one team to support."
He is also a close friend of some key figures at the club, as he added: "We are quite close to Scotty [McTominay], Lingz [Jesse Lingard] and Rashy. Also some of the youth team players like D'mani Mellor."
United will don the new shirt for their first Premier League game of the new season when they welcome Wolves to Old Trafford on August 14 for the first Monday night football of the campaign.
