Manchester United youngster Charlie Wellens has described the "special" feeling after bagging his first senior goal.
The 19-year-old was dispatched to National League side Oldham Athletic on a loan arrangement in a bid to accelerate his progress. Last weekend, in only his third outing for the Latics, he scored an 89th-minute winner on an emotional day at Boundary Park.
The 3-2 win over Eastleigh was John Sheridan's final game in the dugout after it was announced he would be stepping down following the game. Wellens, son of former United academy product and current Leyton Orient boss Richie, admits the occasion was a special one.

"It was special, that's the only word for it," he said.
"Seeing the fans go mental like that, there's nothing better, honestly. We needed a win. The manager said at half-time if we believe in ourselves we can do a lot, we can get back up to the top of the table or thereabouts. To score that goal in his last game as well, nothing better.
"He brought me in for my first loan so I sort of owed him it. I wanted to do it for him and hopefully it was a good send-off for him. A new manager has come in now and I've just got to try to impress him and keep my place in the starting line-up, and keep trying to impress the fans as well."
That new manager Wellens refers to is former Everton defender David Unsworth, whose first game is away at Bromley today (Saturday).
