Manchester United have installed Erik ten Hag as their favoured candidate to be the next manager at Old Trafford, though the Red Devils still refusing to 'rule out an approach' for Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues manager, who has already committed his future to the end of the season at the very earliest, has his concentration firmly fixed on Chelsea at the moment with his side progressing to the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday night with a comprehensive 4-1 aggregate victory against Lille. After the game, Tuchel was his usual emotive self, with the manager showed the kind of body language to showcase a positive feeling amongst all the turmoil off the pitch.
There were even clips circulating on social media showing Tuchel interact with the fans after the final whistle went, just before he went to do his post-match media duties. Tuchel dropped a further hint when quizzed recently about his own future amid the takeover uncertainty. "There's no doubt I'll stay until the end of the season. Absolutely. We just have to wait and we still have to go day-by-day because everything can change," he said in his post-match Newcastle press conference.
