Man taken to hospital after being hit by car in Salford

A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Salford.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene of the smash on Ordsall Lane just before 9am this morning (Friday).

A man, aged in his 30s, was hit by a car, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said.

His injuries are not thought to be serious.

No arrests have been made, police said, and enquiries are ongoing.

Several police and ambulance vehicles were pictured at the scene this morning.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Police were called shortly before 9am this morning to a report of a collision involving a car and pedestrian on Ordsall Lane in Salford.

"Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made."

A NWAS spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian at 8.56am.

"A male in his 30s was taken to hospital, with non-serious injuries."
