Man seriously injured after crash as air ambulance called

University Hospital of Wales South Wales Fire and Rescue Service Welsh Ambulance Service Cardiff Wales

A 77-year-old man was taken to hospital with potential life-changing injuries following a crash in Bargoed. The incident happened on Tuesday, January 3 at around 11.40am in Gwerthonor Place, Gilfach.

Gwent Police attended the two-car crash along with the Welsh Ambulance Service, Welsh Air Ambulance and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. One of the drivers, a 77-year-old man, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff with serious and potentially life-changing injuries.
