Police have confirmed a man was seriously assaulted in Glasgow city centre amid a disturbance last night.
We told how officers scrambled to Argyle Street after the alarm was raised at around 5pm on Monday.
A 36-year-old man was seriously assaulted on the road near James Watt Street.
Cops sealed off the area and 'blood' was reportedly spotted within the cordon.
Officers were still at the scene late on Monday night.
Their enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries are continuing after a 36-year-old man was seriously assaulted on Argyle Street, near to James Watt Street, Glasgow, around 5pm on Monday, January 31."
