A man who nearly lost £900 to a scammer has shared how one question stopped them in their tracks.
Jordan Parker, 28, said his stepdad Michael Griffiths nearly sent the cash to what he believed was his stepdaughter Sophie.
The Whatsapp messages start with the fraudster saying they lost their phone and were "using an old number for now", the Liverpool Echo reported.
