Man rushed to hospital following one-vehicle crash on Scots road

A man has been rushed to hospital following a one-vehicle crash on a major Scots road.

Emergency services raced to the B9170 near Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, at around 3.35pm on Sunday September 4.

A man was transferred to hospital following the collision. The nature of his injuries and his current condition remain unknown.

Witnesses reported seeing an air ambulance at the site along with various police vehicles and officers.

The North East division of Police Scotland confirmed the road had been closed both ways on Twitter at 4.48pm.

They wrote: "The B9170 between Inverurie and Oldmeldrum is currently closed in both directions. Please use an alternative route."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a one vehicle crash on the B9170 near Oldmeldrum at around 3.35pm on Sunday, 4 September, 2022.

“Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to hospital.

“The road is currently closed between Oldmeldrum and Inverurie.”
