A man has been rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle car crash on a busy road in Glasgow.
Emergency crews were alerted to the incident on Edinburgh Road at the Baillieston Interchange at around 10pm on Thursday, June 8.
Officers from Police Scotland say a 61-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, but no more information was given on his condition at this stage.
Images from the scene show a large emergency response at the scene, including two fire appliances, one ambulance and a police car.
A small black car was spotted on its roof after flipping in the incident and appears to have collided with barriers at the traffic lights.
Police and fire officers can be seen walking around at the scene surveying the damage, as the road is locked down to traffic.
One bystander said: "We were just around the corner when we heard a loud bang and by the time we got round there emergency services were already arriving. The man was quickly put into a neck brace and looked in a pretty bad way."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Thursday, 8 June, 2023, police were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Edinburgh Road, Glasgow. Emergency services attended and a 61-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary."
