Man rushed to hospital after ‘industrial accident’ at Broughty Ferry primary school

A man has been seriously hurt in an industrial accident at a Broughty Ferry primary school.

The 58-year-old victim was rushed to Ninewells Hospital following the incident on Monday afternoon.

A police spokesperson confirmed emergency services attended Forthill Primary School shortly before noon after the alarm was raised.

A number of police vehicles and at least one ambulance were spotted at the scene at about 11.40am

It is understood that the building was empty at the time of the accident as Monday was the first day of the Tayside Easter school holidays.

The man’s condition is unknown at this time.

The Police Scotland spokesperson told Dundee live: “Around 11.40am on Monday, 4 April, police attended after receiving report of an industrial accident on the grounds of Forthill Primary School.

“A 58-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital.

"No further police action was required."
