A man has been rushed to hospital in Edinburgh after being struck by a car in Midlothian on Wednesday, November 30.
Emergency services raced to the scene on Old Craighall Road in Millerhill, Dalkeith, after reports of a crash shortly after 3pm.
The 42-year-old pedestrian was then taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where his injuries were described as serious. The condition of the driver is currently unknown.

Emergency services had closed off the section of Old Craighall Road on Wednesday afternoon, before opening around four hours later at 7pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 3pm to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a car on Old Craighall Road, Millerhill, Dalkeith.

“A 42-year-old man, the pedestrian, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.
“The road was closed for crash investigation work to be carried out and re-opened around 7pm.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
