A man remains fighting for life after a crash on Queens Drive.
The crash, involving a Ford Focus, Range Rover and a Peugeot box van, happened at around 4.40pm on Thursday, September 15. The collision was close to the fire station on the busy city road.
Emergency services, including fire crews, were all in attendance, and a man in his 60s was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Officers have confirmed this morning the man, the driver of the red Ford Focus, remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The drivers of the other two cars received treatment for minor injuries. The road was closed for a number of hours while detectives carried out investigations. Police revealed they are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
Sergeant Steve Smith from Merseyside Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "We’d ask that anyone who was driving on Queens Drive, close to the Fire Station, at around 4.40pm and witnessed the collision or captured anything on dashcam or other devices to come forward as soon as possible. Your information could be absolutely vital to our investigation.
