An Indianapolis man, involved in a violent shootout with Wingstop employees over an order dispute, has been banned from restaurant locations in Indiana for life and told to only order online.

The altercation occurred on January 12, 2023, at a Wingstop on 10th Street and Lynhurst Drive in Indianapolis, WTHR reported.

The confrontation began when Lawrence Sneed, appearing intoxicated, became agitated after being told the ordering system was down and he needed to place his order online.

The argument escalated when Sneed pushed an employee and attempted to re-enter the restaurant with a firearm, prompting an exchange of gunfire between Sneed and an employee.

Sneed, who sustained serious injuries during the incident, including the loss of a kidney and parts of his bowel and pancreas, pleaded guilty to pointing a firearm.

As part of a plea deal, five other charges were dropped. He was sentenced to four days of time served.

Surveillance footage corroborated the employees' claims that they acted in self-defense, fearing for their safety during the confrontation.

Sneed has been permanently banned from entering Wingstop locations in Marion County, Indiana.
