A man in his 40s has been rushed to hospital following an early morning assault in Dublin city centre.
The attack happened at 12.50am this morning on O'Connell Street Upper, and a man in his 40s was brought to the Mater Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault that occurred on the 3rd April 2022 on O'Connell Street Upper at 0.50am.

"A man in his 40s was injured during the course of the incident and was taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment.
"No arrests have been made.
"Investigations are ongoing."
