A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being found with a head injury in Mansfield, police have said. The 56-year-old was found opposite Leverton Road, next to Ladybrook Memorial Gardens, at around 1.40am on Sunday, July 17.
His condition is currently described as serious. Police are working to establish what happened to the man and are urging anyone who was in the area and saw anything to get in touch. Detective Inspector Paul Lefford, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are currently keeping an open mind with regards to how the man sustained his injuries and we are appealing for any information from the public which may help us understand what happened.
“The area where the man was found is opposite The Ladybrook pub. Our enquiries are ongoing and we are urging anyone who may have seen something or anyone who may have captured CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the incident to please come forward.” Anyone who has any information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 96 of 17 July 2022, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
