A man remains in critical condition this morning following a horrific attack on Wednesday evening in Cork.
According to reports, the male was rushed to the hospital following an incident in Carrigaline.
Emergency services rushed to the Glenwood Estate shortly before 6:00 pm on December 28 after the man, in his late 20s, suffered serious injuries during an attack.

They were taken to CUH and Gardaí had sealed off the area for a forensic examination last night.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Gardaí and Emergency services were alerted to a serious assault at Glenwood Estate, Carrigaline, Cork this evening, Wednesday 28th December, 2022 at approximately 5.45p.m.
“A man (late 20s) was removed from the scene to Cork University Hospital and remains in a critical condition.
“The scene is currently preserved for technical examination and investigations are ongoing.”
