A bloke has left social media users stunned after revealing he flew all the way to Italy and bought a pizza for less than it would cost to order a Domino's.
Callum Ryan took to TikTok to share his adventure, as he said he "set himself a challenge" of getting a flight to Milan and sitting down for dinner at a pizzeria without breaking his £19.99 budget - which is the usual cost of a medium pizza from Domino's before taking into account any delivery costs.
The man got lucky and managed to find a last-minute flight that cost him just £8, so he hopped on a plane the next day and landed in Milan in time for dinner.
In his video, posted to his @thatonecal account, Callum said he used TikTok to help him find the perfect pizza restaurant - and found one that gave him a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a pesto pizza roll as he walked in.
He said: "I set myself a challenge to fly all the way to Italy and buy a pizza for cheaper than the price of a Domino's. This is how it went.
"The plan was to spend less than a medium-sized Domino's pizza, which usually costs £19.99. I literally got a flight last minute for £8 - I was absolutely buzzing!
"The next day, I hopped on my flight and landed in Milan. I used TikTok to help me find the best pizza place around and headed straight there.
"On arrival, I got a free glass of Prosecco and this mini pesto pizza thing, and it was quite nice! I ordered a Margherita pizza and a drink - but of course, the drink doesn't count because that's an optional extra."
Callum, 22, then revealed that when adding together the price of his pizza and the table service, he paid just €11 for his meal, or £9.72 when converted back to pounds.
So, in total, Callum paid £17.72 for his flight and his pizza - meaning he'd successfully spent less than the almost £20 that he would've spent if he ordered from Domino's.
He added: "When the pizza arrived, it looked beautiful. But after finishing, it was time to pay the bill. The pizza on its own was €8.50 and the table service was €2.50, which means €11. When converted, that's £9.72 - which means we did it!"
Commenters were gobsmacked by Callum's video - which now has almost 2 million views - with many saying they couldn't believe how cheap his trip had been.
One said: "Is no one going to acknowledge the fact he bought a plane ticket for £8?"
As another added: "£8 FOR A TICKET!!!!"
There was, however, one major flaw in his pricing, which some followers pointed out - he didn't include the fee for his return flight.
Someone asked: "How did you get back?"
