A man aged in his 30s is fighting for his life in hospital after a stabbing in Lewisham.
The victim is in a critical condition after being found at an address on Hither Green Lane at 12.30am on Monday.
The man was found with stab wounds and treated at the scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service before being rushed to hospital.
His condition has been assessed as critical but stable, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken into custody.
A crime scene has been put in place on Hither Green Lane, which runs between the South Circular Road A205 and Lewisham High Street, while an investigation continues.
A Met spokesperson said: “Police were called to an address in Hither Green Lane, SE13 at 00:30hrs on Monday, 21 August by London Ambulance Service to reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended. A man, in his 30s, was found with stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. His condition has been assessed as critical but stable.
“A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been taken into custody.
“A crime scene has been put in place. Enquiries continue.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer.
“We treated multiple patients at the scene, and a man was taken to major trauma centre as a priority.”
