A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car on a road in Edinburgh.
Emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, raced to Millerhill Road, near the Sheriffhall Roundabout in the city around 9am today.
The 37-year-old pedestrian was rushed to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car was not injured in the event.
The road was closed for around four hours while enquiries were carried out, causing delays and tailbacks for motorists.
Road Policing officers are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened or anyone with dashcam footage of the area at the time to get in touch.
