UDUPI: Search operations are underway for a youth from Bhadravathi in Shivamogga, who is reported missing after a fall from a rock during his visit to Arasinagundi Falls in Kollur on Sunday.
According to the police Sharath, 23, slipped and fell from a rock while observing the spectacular Arasinagundi waterfall. He was allegedly carried away by the currents of the Sowparnika River and is reported missing.
It is learnt that the victim arrived at the falls with his friend in a car. He was standing on a rock and his friend was allegedly recording a video when he accidentally slipped and fell. The video of this fall has gone viral. It is also learnt that they had gone to a place, where people generally do not go.
Diving Expert Eshwar Malpe, staff from the fire and emergency services department and police are undertaking the rescue operation. A missing complaint has been registered at the Kollur Police Station.
