A man has died following a two-car collision outside Bandon in Cork.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the R585 Dunmanway Road shortly after noon on Friday.
The driver of one of the cars, a man aged in his 80s, was pronounced dead a short time later.

His body was taken to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital and the local coroner has been notified.
None of the other occupants of either car required hospital treatment.
The road at the crash site has been sealed off for a forensic collision investigation. Local diversions have been put in place.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
A spokesperson said: “Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a Fatal Road Traffic Collision in Bandon, County Cork, on Friday, June 10, 2022. Shortly after 12 noon,
“Investigating gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward and to those with camera footage (including dash-cam) to make it available to them.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Bandon Garda Station on 023 8852200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
