A man who was seriously injured in a road incident yesterday has died in hospital.
The man, aged in his mid-80s, is understood to have sustained his injuries after falling from a mobility scooter.
It happened in Kinsale at around 9.30am on Sunday. He was travelling along Cork Street which is a narrow, steep residential street in the town.

Emergency services attended the scene and he was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he has since been pronounced dead.
An examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators has been arranged and the local Coroner has been notified, Cork Beo reports.
Gardai continue to appeal for witnesses to contact them.
