A man has died after being hit by a bus in Bootle.
Merseyside Police were called to Canal Street just before 4pm on Monday, November 7, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene they found a man in his 60s had been hit by a bus at the Bridgewater Complex.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended and removed the man from the scene. He was taken to hospital where he died.

Enquiries are ongoing to inform his next of kin. Road closures remain in place on Canal Street and Millers Bridge and motorists are being advised by police to seek alternative routes.
An investigation is underway and anyone with any information is urged to contact police.
