The police watchdog has launched an investigation after a man suspected of a stabbing died shortly after being arrested.
Officers were called to reports of an incident on Park Lane in Leigh, shortly after 9.10pm on February 9. A man was rushed to hospital in a serious condition with stab wounds.
A male suspect, in his 20s, tried to flee but was quickly arrested by officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) a short time later. However the force said he became "seriously unwell" and died at the scene, the MEN reports.
