Man City XI vs Arsenal: No De Bruyne - Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest

Kevin De Bruyne is not involved as Manchester City take on Arsenal in a huge clash at the top of the table.

De Bruyne was forced off at half-time against Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday and, while Pep Guardiola did not rule the midfielder out at his pre-match press conference, the Belgian misses out on the squad at the Etihad.

Rodri made a first start of the season against Inter after recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained in the Euro 2024 Final for Spain, and he is in from the off again this afternoon.

The midfielder has suffered just one defeat for club or country in the past 18 months, so his fitness is a major boost for the champions.

Phil Foden is yet to play a full 90 minutes this season but he was a second-half substitute on Wednesday, and is again named on the bench.

Nathan Ake remains sidelined, while Oscar Bobb is also out.

The Norwegian has scored nine goals in five games, including two hat-tricks, and needs one more goal to reach 100 for City.

Jack Grealish has to settle for a place among the substitutes, as Savinho and Jeremy Doku start.

Starting XI: Ederson, Walker, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Gundogan, Bernardo, Savinho, Doku, HaalandSubs: Ortega Moreno, Carson, Stones, Kovacic, Grealish, Nunes, Foden, Lewis, McAtee
