Man City transfer news: Juventus 'talks' with Jesus plus 6ft 9in French teenager link

Manchester City kicked off the week by announcing the completion of Erling Haaland's £51million signing from Borussia Dortmund in a real statement of intent.

City have much transfer business they wish to do as Guardiola aims to give his side the edge over rivals Liverpool having just pipped Jurgen Klopp's side to the Premier League title by a single point last season.

City must also resolve the uncertainty over the futures of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan. All three City stars are entering the final year of their contracts and Sterling and Jesus, in particular, are attracting interest from other Premier League clubs.. Mirror Sport rounds up the latest City transfer news and rumours.

Giant French teenager link

Le Havre defender Isaak Toure is reportedly set to join City this summer, but will be loaned back to Ligue 1 side Troyes for the forthcoming season. The 19-year-old centre-back, who stands at a towering 6ft 9in, has attracted interest from the likes of Newcastle and Marseille but City have "beaten the competition for the prospect" according to a report in L'Equipe.

The French outlet claim Toure, who is under contract until 2023, had "offers to leave his Le Havre last year, with interest from Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga", but his club had decided to keep hold of him.

Jesus holds Juve talks

Inside Futbol claim Juventus will hold talks with Gabriel Jesus' agent over a move to Turin. Jesus could leave City this summer following Haaland's arrival and the Brazil striker has just 12 months left on his current Blues deal.

Arsenal have made the running so far in the race to sign him, but they cannot offer him the stage of Champions League football, which he wants. Juventus can offer him Champions League football and believe they can put together a contract offer to tempt him to move to Serie A.

McAtee in demand

Huddersfield Town are at the front of the queue to sign rising star James McAtee on a season-long loan deal. The midfielder is expected to become the next youth talent to break through the ranks under Guardiola and the Huddersfield Examiner claim the Terriers are interested in taking him on loan next season.

Competition for the 19-year-old's services may include Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion, who are reported to be keen to include McAtee as part of a deal that would take wing-back Marc Cucurella to the Etihad.
