Man City transfer gossip: Youri Tielemans 'interest' emerges as Julian Alvarez decision due

Manchester City face a big decision on how to incorporate incoming signing Julian Alvarez into Pep Guardiola's squad.

Argentinian forward Alvarez is set to sign with the Etihad club from River Plate any day now as the club finally land a replacement for his compatriot Sergio Aguero following his move to Barcelona last summer.

But the striker is set to remain on loan at River Plate until the summer – leaving Guardiola's side with a big decision to make.

It comes as the club is linked with signing Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans and with Hungarian winger Zalan Vancsa reportedly set for a medical at City this week.

Here are all the latest Man City transfer rumours.

Have Your Say! Who do you want Man City to sign in January? Let us know in the comments here.

Youngster set for medical

Talented Hungarian forward Zalan Vancsa is reportedly due to undergo a medical at Manchester City this week.

The 17-year-old MTK Budapest winger is travelling to Manchester on Friday, according to Sports Illustrated.

It is claimed the youngster is set to undergo a medical at the club upon arrival and that he will complete a move to City "soon".

Tielemans interest

City are interested in signing Youri Tielemans, according to reports in Spain.

According to Fichajes, Man City, along with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal, are interested in the Leicester midfielder.

Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly also following the player, who could be available for £33million as he only has 18 months left on his contract at the King Power Stadium.

The report hints that Arsenal could be City's main competitor to land the Belgian star though, with Mikel Arteta said to be keen to add to his options in midfield.

Alvarez decision

City are facing a decision over how to integrate Julian Alvarez into Pep Guardiola's squad, it has been claimed.

The Manchester Evening News reports that while Alvarez is set to remain on loan at River Plate until the summer, City boss Pep Guardiola has plenty of space to fill within his squad.

The club are set to go after a top centre-forward once again after missing out on Tottenham's Harry Kane last summer, and could turn to Erling Haaland, while youngster Liam Delap could also make the step-up to the first team.

And that leaves the club in something of a dilemma on how to integrate their new signing.
