Manchester City have launched an investigation after footage circulated on social media appearing to show two home fans mocking the Hillsborough disaster.
In a clip which has been widely shared on Twitter tonight, a pair of City supporters were filmed seemingly making obscene gestures referencing Hillsborough in the direction of fans in the Liverpool end after the final whistle.
The ECHO understands Man City officials are looking into the incident - and take such matters seriously.

The person who is believed to have initially shared the footage on Twitter said: "All for the footy banter and that but draw the line with Hillsborough".
Liverpool and City drew 2-2 at the Etihad earlier today in a thrilling top-of-the-table clash.
Pep Guardiola's side led twice but were pegged back by the Reds each time, with goals from Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane.
The result means City remain one point ahead of Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League, with both teams having seven games left to play in the competition.
And the clubs meet again next Saturday at Wembley in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
