Manchester City are reportedly mulling over a move for Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella.
The defender joined from Spanish club Getafe last summer and has been an impressive figure in Graham Potter’s successful season with the Seagulls. Brighton fans voted Cucurella their Player of the Season recently while he also received the Players' Player of the Season award.
The 23-year-old scored his first goal for the club in the 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United after helping to keep 10 clean sheets in the 34 league games he has played. Cucurella offers versatility, being able to also play centre-back and even left-wing.

This is said to have caught the attention of Guardiola who is looking for greater left-back cover this summer. He has experienced hardships at the back this season with nearly every defender being out injured at some point.
Cucurella’s manoeuvrability is attractive enough for Guardiola to ponder a move for the Spain international, as per the Daily Mail. Tottenham are also in the race for the £30million man.
Meanwhile, El Nacional claims that Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen could end up at City to provide competition for Ederson. It says that the German would be open to a move to the Premier League champions.
Guardiola would need to shell out £51m for the shot-stopper, who is now 30. The report comes off the back of Zack Steffen ’s calamitous mistake in the FA Cup semi-final loss to Liverpool.
