Manchester City star Jack Grealish has taken to social media to call out EA Sports over his game face in FIFA 23.
FIFA 23 was released in the UK and worldwide on Friday, September 30, 2022, with the new game the final instalment of EA Sports' FIFA series. EA have announced they will release a new game, EA Sports FC, following the end of their 30-year partnership with FIFA.
As important as the gameplay is in FIFA 23, a lot of people choose to play the game due to its realism and authenticity, especially when it comes to player faces. But, it appears that Man City 's Grealish has been left unhappy with his appearance in the new game.
Ahead of the game's release, Grealish received an update to his appearance, with EA mirroring his current hairstyle and more accurate facial features. But in the attempt to make the England international look more realistic, it seems they've annoyed Grealish in the process, with the forward poking fun at EA for his new look.
On his Instagram Story, Grealish called out EA, comparing himself to a Disney Pixar character. "Nah cmon man @EASPORTSFIFA Look like that geeza out of Toy Story!!!!"
As you can see, the 27-year-old doesn't seem to look a lot like himself in FIFA 23, which is even more bizarre considering Grealish is an ambassador for the game. Being an ambassador means Grealish will feature on Ultimate Team pack covers, different game mode loading screens, marketing campaigns and much more.
Grealish has started this season well for City, with the forward starring in the 6-3 win over Manchester City this weekend. If he keeps up these performances, we may see the ex-Aston Villa man earn a few sports in the FUT 23 Team of the Week!
FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
