Man City should listen to Jurgen Klopp's post-World Cup warning

One player has picked up a hamstring injury, another isn't fit enough, and a third is still celebrating becoming a world champion. Other than that, Pep Guardiola must be relatively pleased with the condition of his players after five or six weeks away.

All season, Guardiola has been concerned over the post-World Cup fitness of his players, and he will always state that a successful international break is one where none of his players get injured.

So for the majority to return fitter than expected and put in an all-action performance against Liverpool this week, must be a relief for City. As Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said, though, now is not the time to get too complacent.
