Manchester City will fulfil their Champions League match with Dortmund on Wednesday after seeing their Premier League game with Tottenham this weekend postponed.
Pep Guardiola and his players were preparing to face Spurs after returning from their midweek fixture in Spain but, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the Premier League made the decision to postpone this round of games as a mark of respect. It is still unclear whether the next set - the last before October 2 owing to the international break - will be played or also postponed.
However, City will still take to the Etihad on Wednesday to face Dortmund in the Champions League as scheduled. UEFA were keen for the match to go ahead as long as it could be resourced effectively by the police and the Blues have been able to confirm this.

While there were compassionate reasons behind the Premier League postponements this weekend, it does make it increasingly difficult for teams to fit in all of their games given the break in the calendar for the winter World Cup. As it stands, they will not have any additional pile-ups in the Champions League given UEFA have made the decision to press ahead with their schedule.
City won the opening group game 4-0 at Sevilla, while Dortmund ran out 3-0 winners at home to Copenhagen. A win for either team would see them move three points clear at the top of the table after a third of their fixtures, taking charge of the group.
