Pep Guardiola confirmed that Kyle Walker was unable to complete 90 minutes against Aston Villa due to injury.
Nathan Ake, back in the squad for the first time since suffering a groin injury against Newcastle, came on for the final 10 minutes as Walker limped off at Villa Park in the 1-1 draw. The right-back had endured another tough afternoon after wasting a glorious early chance to put the Blues ahead, but the manager confirmed that his substitution was not tactical.
City's manager had not seen the medical team to be able to give a diagnosis on the issue, but was concerned enough to bring Walker off. "He had some problem in the first-half," he said.
