Manchester City reportedly attain a long-term interest in Southampton defender Timo Livramento. The 20-year-old enjoyed a promising start to life at St Mary’s following his move from Chelsea in 2021 but hasn’t set foot on the pitch since suffering an anterior cruciate ligament in April.
He had netted a goal and recorded two assists before his major setback having made five appearances for England Under-21s since his switch to the Saints. The London Evening Standard claims City still hold an interest in the right-back despite his injury.
It also claims Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice are among the club’s summer targets albeit the Premier League’s 100-plus allegations of financial wrongdoing against the Blues could prove a stumbling block.

City are expected to see Joao Cancelo make a permanent move to Bayern Munich at the end of the season following his current loan spell, and so may be looking for full-back reinforcements.
Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva have both been linked with moves away this summer too, while Barcelona are reported to hold an interest in Rodri amid Pep Guardiola’s supposed chase of Bellingham and Rice.
Meanwhile, The Athletic reports Chelsea have beaten City to 17-year-old Southampton starlet Jimmy-Jay Morgan in an initial £3m deal. The Sun claims both City and Arsenal were also reportedly interested in the striker, who had been a part of Chelsea’s academy from eight years old prior to his South coast move.
Morgan has been on City’s radar after scoring 27 goals for Southampton’s Under-16s and 13 for the Under-18s.
