Manchester City will face Peterborough United in the fifth-round of the FA Cup at the Weston Homes Stadium, it has been confirmed.
City — who last won the competition in 2019 — booked their place in the hat following a comfortable 4-1 win over Fulham on Saturday afternoon, despite being tasked with coming from behind following Fabio Carvalho's early opener.
However, goals from Riyad Mahrez (2), John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan sealed a routine win for Pep Guardiola's side, keeping their hopes of winning a famous treble this season alive.
City, of course, now know that they must get the better of Championship side Peterborough to keep that dream going and take them one step closer towards Wembley.
Guardiola's side will fancy their chances of getting the better of the Championship struggles and booking their place in the quarter-finals.
Peterborough got the better of fellow Championship side QPR on Saturday, winning 2-0, meaning they will be going in pursuit of a famous upset.
However, City will enter the tie as strong favourites to progress and get the better of lower-league opposition for the third round in succession.
Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at how City's supporters have reacted to the fifth-round draw handing them a date with Darren Ferguson's side in the first week of March.
As you can see from the messages displayed in the tweets above, City's supporters are hoping to see Guardiola use the tie as an opportunity to hand starts to some of the club's younger players.
