Man City 'enter race' for Jules Kounde amid possible Nathan Ake exit and more rumours

Manchester City are reportedly looking to enter the race for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde amid Nathan Ake's possible move to Chelsea.

That's reported by the Daily Telegraph, who state City are looking at the 23-year-old as a long-term option. Chelsea have long been interested in the French international, but have now turned their attention to Ake, who is reportedly close to rejoining them from City.

Ake has been a backup option for City since joining from Bournemouth in 2020, but he now looks set to return to Chelsea.

Elsewhere, Sky Germany claim Chelsea are now in 'pole position' to sign reported City target Matheus Nunes from Sporting. The 23-year-old has been targeted by a number of European teams after enjoying a breakthrough season in Portugal.

Nunes reportedly caught the attention of City manager Pep Guardiola during their Champions League round-of-16 tie back last season.

Finally, AS report that Norwich City are showing interest in signing City striker Marlos Moreno. The 25-year-old has never made an appearance for City, with the most recent of his seven loan spells being spent in the Belgian top flight with Kortrijk. Sunderland and Bristol City are also reportedly interested.
