A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following an incident in Croxteth last week.
Shaun Duckworth, of Breeze Hill, Walton, appeared at Wirral Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with the attempted murder of Paul Higham. Duckworth was also charged with possession of cannabis.
The 34-year-old spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth and he was not asked to enter a plea. Emergency services were called to Coronet Road at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, February 8 after reports of a car being in a suspected deliberate collision with a man.

A man in his 30s was found unconscious and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. On Monday, Angela Blackmore, prosecuting, told the court that Duckworth allegedly “repeatedly” used a BMW as a weapon.
Duckworth was remanded into custody and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on March 13.
