A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a 15-hour police incident in Dundee.
We told how police, ambulance and fire crews scrambled to Hilltown Terrace in the early hours of Sunday morning after the alarm was raised with cops at 12.40am.
Video footage previously shared with the Daily Record showed one fire engine, two ambulance motors and several police vehicles lining the road that meets Hilltown Terrace.
The entrance to the street was blocked off by a riot van.
One police officer was stood close to the van guarding a large cordon that was been placed down, while another officer could be seen in the background.
'Armed police' were also drafted in to help, according to The Courier.
On Monday morning police confirmed that a 52-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Officers responded to alleged anti-social behaviour at a 'block of flats'.
The man is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: “We were called around 12.40am on Sunday March 13, to a report of anti-social behaviour at a block of flats in Hilltown Terrace, Dundee.
“Officers, supported by specialist colleagues, attended.
“There was no risk to the wider public and we would like to thank the community for their patience while officers were at the scene.
“A 52-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday March 14, 2022.”
Fire chiefs confirmed their attendance to assist police.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokeswoman previously told the Record: "We were alerted at around 2am on Sunday to an incident in Hilltown Terrace Dundee.
"We were called to assist police.
"Operators sent one appliance to the scene.
"Fire fighters remain at the scene ready to assist police."
The Scottish Ambulance Service refused to provide comment.
