Man charged after motorhome and lorry crash on major Scottish road

POLICE Scotland has charged a 31-year-old man after a collision between a motorhome and HGV lorry on the A9 between Inverness and Aviemore.

The crash happened on Friday morning with motorists being advised to approach the area with caution.

The junction with the A938, locally known as Carrbridge junction, was partially blocked by the vehicles. 

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 9.05am on Friday, 4 October, 2024 we were called to a report of a crash involving a lorry and a campervan on the A9 near to Carrbridge junction.

“There were no reports of any injuries.

“A 31-year-old man was charged in connection with a road traffic offence and issued with a fixed penalty notice.”
