A man has been jailed for life after torturing his 11-year-old stepson who was saved by a waitress giving him a secret note and asking if he was okay.
Timothy Lee Wilson, 36, was jailed in Florida on Wednesday after being found guilty of false imprisonment, aggravated child abuse including with a weapon and child neglect, last June.
He was handed four life sentences by an Orlando judge for the horrific abuse that included starving the boy, handcuffing him and hanging him upside down.
