Man assaulted sleeping woman at knifepoint

A man who terrorised and sexually assaulted a sleeping woman in her Melbourne home has been jailed. (AAP)

A Victorian man has been jailed after he broke into a woman's home and sexually assaulted her at knifepoint before pouring what she believed was a flammable liquid over her.

The woman woke up to a thumping noise in her Footscray home and went to check before 37-year-old Takavaha Leveni grabbed her and said "don't talk, don't move", in February 2020.
