A man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a car in Cabra on Sunday night, which had an baby inside the car at the time.
The man, aged in his 40s, is being questioned by gardai at Mountjoy Gard Station. The shocking incident happened on St Attracta Road in Cabra shortly after 7pm on Sunday, August 21.
It is alleged that a man made off with the car after it was left with the engine running outside a home. There was another young child, 9, in the back who is believed to have jumped out of the car, the Irish Independent reports.

The car was abandoned on the side of the road a short time later. Thankfully, the baby was unharmed.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "A male in his 40s has been arrested for an alleged offence contrary to Section 10 of the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act, 1976, and he is currently being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
"An Garda Síochána has no further comment at this time."
